September 2025 – Gauger Estate Update
We know summer’s starting to wind down—but out here, things are still in full bloom 🌞 The light is golden, the flowers are tall, and the fields feel alive. And everywhere you look, something’s growing.
Our last U-Pick Wildflowers event was the kind of day that sticks with you 💐 A soft breeze. Kids laughing. Music drifting through the rows. Bouquets in every hand and dust on every shoe. It reminded us why we do this: because moments like those matter. They root us. And now, the next one is almost here.
🌻 U-Pick Sunflowers is happening THIS Sunday, September 21st from 11AM–3PM and it’s going to be beautiful. The field is absolutely glowing. Catmospheric and the Mary Nickson Duo will be playing live music 🎶 and we’ve got amazing vendors lined up:
🖌️ Darling’s Creative Art - Handmade art creations.
🧵 Mother Nature's Secret - creating unique sun catcher's, resin pours, jewelry, and more.
🍞 Dixon Farms – fresh-baked breads, bagels, cookies, and jams
🎨 Heady to Toe – handmade apparel and artisan goods
🌿 Freedom Blooms Farms – teas, herbal bundles, smudge sticks
🍴 Mike’s Country Kitchen – farm-style lunch favorites
Something extra special—Bailey from Freedom Blooms is building a natural photo frame right in the field, using wild vines and flowers from the land 🌸 It’ll be the perfect spot to snap a memory in the sunflowers 📸
Back at the stand, we’re more stocked than ever. Tomatoes 🍅, zucchini, green peppers 🫑, and fresh-picked sunflowers are filling the bins. Mixed floral bouquets are out daily, and we’ve restocked lemon balm tea samplers 🍋, honey 🍯, and small-batch sun-dried tomatoes 🌞. If you swing by soon, you might still catch a jar of our lemon basil pesto or house-made salsa verde—both in short supply this week but packed with flavor 🧄
If you’ve been thinking about a CSA box, don’t wait—we’re down to our last few for the season. These bi-weekly shares are filled with whatever’s freshest and most vibrant from the farm, plus little surprises we tuck in when we can 🌿💐
