Attendee Code of Conduct
The G Lodge is a dynamic gathering space dedicated to enriching lives through shared experiences. Our mission is to bring families and individuals together, fostering community, compassion, creativity, and connection through inclusive, safe, and vibrant events. We welcome people of all identities and believe every attendee deserves a safe and fulfilling experience—balanced by respecting others' safety and enjoyment.
To uphold these values and succeed in our mission, we ask you to help co-create our events by following these guidelines.
By Attending Events at The G Lodge, You Agree To:
Respect Others and the Space:
Treat all attendees, staff, and G Lodge facilities with dignity and care.
Foster Curiosity and Acceptance:
Interact with others openly and without judgment, respecting their unique ways of enjoying the event.
Adhere to Policies:
Follow all G Lodge rules, including those related to photography, substance use, minors, and pets, as outlined in this document.
Promote Inclusivity:
Engage in ways that contribute to an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Actively use people’s pronouns and names as they identify.
Avoid discriminatory language or actions, including but not limited to racism, homophobia, transphobia, or any bias against protected classes.
Refrain from harmful speech or actions directed at anyone, regardless of identity.
Use Facilities Appropriately:
Utilize designated facilities (e.g., restrooms or porta-potties) for their intended purposes. Relieving oneself in undesignated areas (e.g., the woods) is prohibited.
Look Out for Safety:
Take proactive steps to care for yourself and others by speaking up if something is wrong. Seek assistance from staff or the first aid station as needed.
Respect your personal boundaries and prioritize your well-being when helping others.
As a G Lodge Attendee, You Can Expect:
Respect for Your Identity: Your personhood and identity will be honored and treated with respect by attendees and staff.
Respect for Your Belongings: Your possessions will not be touched without your consent unless they pose an immediate safety risk.
Reasonable Accommodations: Disabilities and personal challenges that affect your enjoyment of events and facilities will be thoughtfully and reasonably accommodated.
A Positive Experience: A safe, inclusive, and fulfilling environment at every G Lodge event.
Policies
1. Minors
Family-Friendly Behavior:
Help maintain a welcoming, family-focused environment by ensuring your behavior and attire are appropriate. If your actions or appearance disturb others, staff may ask you to make adjustments.
Substance Prohibition:
Do not provide alcohol or any substances to minors under any circumstances.
Supervision Reporting:
If you notice a child aged 12 or younger without adult supervision at any time, report it to staff immediately.
For teenagers aged 13–17, report any unsupervised activity occurring after 9 PM to staff.
Parental Guidance:
If you bring children to our events, please review and follow the guidelines outlined in our Responsible Parenting Policy.
2. Responsible Parenting Policy:
We are committed to creating a safe, family-friendly environment at The G Lodge. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, please review and adhere to the following guidelines regarding the supervision of children at our events:
Supervision of Children Under 12: Children ages 12 and under must remain within the sight and supervision of their responsible adult (18 years or older) at all times. This means that if a child under 12 is on the premises, their responsible adult must be nearby, attentive, and prepared to address any needs or safety concerns.
Supervision of Teenagers Ages 13-17: Children ages 13-17 may explore designated areas during daylight hours but must be within the visual range of their responsible adult after 9 pm. This guideline ensures the safety and accountability of teenagers as the event transitions into evening hours.
Shared Responsibility for Child Safety: The G Lodge and its staff are committed to providing a safe environment but are not responsible for the supervision of children. We ask parents and guardians to be actively engaged with their children to maintain a secure, enjoyable experience for all.
Non-Compliance: Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in removal from the property. We reserve the right to enforce this policy to ensure the well-being of all guests, especially our youngest attendees.
Respectful Engagement: We welcome questions and open communication regarding this policy, but disrespectful or confrontational responses to staff will not be tolerated. Our goal is to create a positive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and safe.
3. Photography Policy:
Photography will occur at our events for personal and professional use. If you prefer not to be photographed, it is your responsibility to inform others. We respect participants' privacy, and anyone may deny a request for a photograph or its sharing. If a photo of you appears online, you have the right to request its removal. By attending, you also agree to honor similar requests from others. For assistance with photography-related concerns, a G Lodge committee member is available to help.
The G Lodge reserves the right to prohibit any photography or videography deemed inappropriate or disrespectful toward the event, its staff, performers, or attendees. Such content must be removed upon request. Additionally, offensive or overly aggressive behavior in capturing photographs or videos is strictly prohibited.
Failure to comply with this policy is grounds for being banned from attending events at the G Lodge.
4. Substances Policy:
No illegal substances are allowed on the premises.
You must be of legal age, and abide by NYS law, to consume legal substances, such as alcohol and cannabis.
It is your responsibility to maintain control of your faculties while under the influence of any substance. Should you lose control of your faculties and endanger the safety of other attendees or staff, you will be asked to leave the grounds once it is safe for you to do so, and you will not be invited back.
5. Animals on Grounds
Pet Liability Agreement: All attendees bringing animals to a G Lodge event must complete and sign a Pet Liability Agreement as outlined below upon arrival.
Reporting Concerns: If you encounter an off-leash animal, cannot locate its owner, or witness aggressive behavior from any animal, notify staff immediately.
Respect for Animals: Treat all animals with kindness and respect.
Service Animals: Do not interact with a service animal without the owner’s explicit permission. Expect your service animal to receive the same respect and not be approached without your consent. If you require assistance, please contact staff.
6. Pet Liability Agreement At an additional charge; Form will be provided for you at the gate upon entry; This policy is applicable for dogs, cats, and pet pigs.
Pet Pass Fee: Pet owner agrees to pay a Pet Pass fee, which is valid for the entire weekend.
Leashing and Supervision: Pet Owner agrees to keep their pet leashed and under direct supervision at all times while on The G Lodge property.
Waste Cleanup: Pet Owner is responsible for promptly cleaning up all pet waste. The G Lodge can provide waste bags, and all waste must be properly disposed of in designated receptacles.
Damages: Pet Owner agrees to be fully liable for any damage caused by their pet, including but not limited to damage to property, landscaping, or injury to other guests or animals. Any such damage will result in charges to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
Unsupervised Pets: If the pet is found unsupervised, Pet Owner will receive one (1) warning. If the pet is found unsupervised a second time, both the pet and their owner will be required to leave the property immediately, with no refund provided.
Injury to Others: If the pet harms any person or animal, Pet Owner will be fully liable for any medical expenses, legal fees, and other costs associated with the incident. The G Lodge reserves the right to pursue legal action in the event of severe injury or negligence on the part of Pet Owner.
Vaccines & Licensing: All pet owners attending events at The G Lodge are required to carry copies of their pet's current vaccination records and any applicable licenses at all times. These documents may be requested by G Lodge staff or committee members to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees and animals on the property. Failure to provide proof of vaccinations or licenses upon request may result in the pet & Pet Owner being removed from the event grounds without refund.
7. Camping Guidelines
Respect Personal Spaces: Do not enter another person’s campsite without their explicit consent.
Be Considerate: Keep noise levels and behavior around campsites mindful and courteous to others.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours begin at 11 PM in the camping area, even if music continues on event stages.
Leave No Trace: Clean up after yourself and others. Dispose of trash properly and keep the grounds clean. If you see someone intentionally littering, report it to staff.
Campfire Safety: Tend to all fires carefully, ensuring they do not pose a risk to others or the property. Fully extinguish fires before leaving your campsite or the event.
Grill Safety: Dispose of grill coals only in designated fire pits, and ensure they are completely extinguished.
8. Vendors
Engage Respectfully: Interact with vendors in a polite and respectful manner.
Report Issues: If you feel disrespected by a vendor, notify staff for assistance.
Theft Investigations: If you are suspected of theft, you agree to cooperate respectfully with staff and the vendor during any investigation.
9. Attendee Misconduct
The G Lodge is committed to upholding this Code of Conduct and holding all attendees accountable to its agreements.
Addressing Misconduct:
If an attendee is suspected of misconduct, they will have the opportunity to discuss the situation before any action is taken, unless immediate safety concerns arise.
Staff will engage with affected parties to determine an appropriate course of action.
Attendees may be removed from an event without refund or prohibited from future attendance until a resolution is reached.
Right to Appeal:
If you believe our actions were unfair or feel you have demonstrated meaningful behavioral changes, you may submit an appeal to the G Lodge Committee.
Appeals will be reviewed equitably, but the committee reserves the right to uphold original consequences based on past actions. An appeal may be denied.
